If you have concerns that your hypnotherapist may have acted unethically in the provision of therapy services, you have the right to make a complaint.
If you have concerns about the ethical conduct of a hypnotherapist, we recommend that you download the AHA Code of Ethics which sets out the AHA’s standards for ethical practice.
View the AHA's complaints guidelines and procedures.
The AHA can only hear grievances and complaints against hypnotherapists who are / were current members at the time the service in question was provided.
When making a grievance or complaint to AHA, please check that the practitioner you are complaining about is listed on the AHA national register.
In most instances, persons wishing to make a complaint will be asked if they have approached the practitioner to resolve the issue. This is encouraged as the logical first step to resolution if it is possible.
The complaints form can be found on this web page.
To further enquire about making a grievance or complaint to AHA, please contact the AHA administration line on 1300 55 22 54 or email email@example.com
If you wish to make a complaint against a therapist who is not listed on the national register, please contact the Health Complaints entity in your state or territory.
