Ongoing Membership Obligations
Note: All documents in the members area with the
exception of the AHA eJournal Hypnopatter are
password protected and you will be required to enter a password in order
to open any downloaded documents or newsletters.
All AHA Members have agreed:
- to attend
at least 75% of the Association’s State meetings unless it can be shown that
there is a valid reason for not being able to do so.
- to
maintain a current First Aid Certificate

NB:
An
invalid Certificate may
void Professional Indemnity Insurance, AHA Membership and the ability for
your clients to receive a Health Fund Rebate.
- to cover
themselves by Professional Indemnity Insurance and agreed to hold the AHA
indemnified for all judgments and costs awarded against it or incurred by it
as the case nay be in any action against it arising directly or indirectly
from the applicant’s conduct as a Hypnotherapist.
- to
conduct themselves in all their professional dealings with the public at
large within the Code of Ethics of the Association
- to
maintain an adequate professional library
- to
undertake a minimum of twenty (20) hours of Continuing Professional
Education and Development each year and this is verified on their AHA Record
Card.
- to
undertake a minimum of twelve (12) hours of one-on-one Supervision each year
or
a minimum of 24 hours of Group
Supervision or
a mixture of both Supervision
models per year and this is verified on the AHA Record Card.
NB: A Group Supervision hour equates to
0.5 of a one-on-one Supervision hour.
AHA Internet Discussion Group
The AHA Bulletin Board is for the
benefit of all members to share ideas or just to simply get
to know or keep in touch with other members.
All AHA Members are encouraged to
use this Internet Group to enter into discussions and
debates, and/or to just simply make new friends with others
from the Association.
To join, all members need to do is
email Jeremy Barbouttis at jeremyb@exemail.com.au
or phone Jeremy on (02) 9518 9912 who is only
too happy to help.

You do not need to visit a website
to participate and be a member. If you receive this
email, then you are on the discussion list.

To send a message to the other
members, just send an email like you would normally, to
aha-Discussion@googlegroups.com,
your email will be sent automatically to all the other
members.

You must send the email from the
email account you joined up with. That is, if you joined
with the email address
jon@powerfulhypnosis.com.au.
Then you must send your email from this account.
You cannot switch to your hotmail account without
changing your membership details first.

To reply to a message you receive
from the list, just reply to it like you would any email
and click send and that's it.
There is nothing more to it than that.
Your participation can be entirely via your email account.

the past 2 years we have videoed our quarterly Seminars. These videos are
available for borrowing. The topics covered are David Taylor on NLP,
Michelle Bihary, Family Therapist, on “Keeping the Family in Mind,” Linda
Edwards “What Makes an Effective Therapist” Lorna Bukkland-Vittetta on
“Full Body Catalepsy” and Harry Berger LMAHA on “Hypnosis”. These videos
are not professional quality but certainly allow people to have access to
the information covered in these seminars. We ask people to pay what it
would have cost to attend the seminar.
